At the top right of every workspace board are 6 navigation icons. Clicking on the last of these (gears) will bring users to the workspace settings interface where you have several options for customizing the workspace.

The left hand panel of the workspace settings view is broken down into several categories:

  • Workspace Settings - These are basic settings for your workspace:
    Workspace Name - (self-explanatory)
    Workspace Prefix - The prefix will reflect your workspace name. Workspace prefixes are required and must have two letters.
    Workspace Icon - Select from a variety of icons as a quick visual identifier for your workspace on the Workspaces page.
    Workspace Color - you can change the color of your workspace. This will change the color of your workspace icon.                                                                Workspace Vision / Purposes / Objectives - Articulating the purpose of the workspace can be a powerful tool for aligning efforts. Your entry here will be displayed in the Workspace Dashboard in the left hand slider.
    Auto Archive Iterations - this feature's default setting is 30 days. Set any value that is appropriate for your context. If you want to disable auto-archiving entirely, set the value to 999.
    Workspace Features -  Enable or disable tabs for your workspace here (i.e. - Sentiments, Board, Chat, Planning, Risks).
    Point Scale - relevant for teams practicing Scrum or who otherwise desire to estimate and relatively size the work effort represented within their cards.
    Render Mode - preferences for how your want your visual board to behave when certain conditions are triggered.
    Sub Task Statuses - the workflow states you want to establish for tasks in this  workspace (system default is "Todo," "Doing" and "Done").
    Card Aging - Aging status is displayed on the front of every work card. You can choose to display it or not. This is also where you can establish a Warning Threshold and/or Critical Threshold (in days).
    Due Date Warning Threshold -
    Set the numbers of days before a risk is generated for a card that contains a due date.
    Velocity Calculations - relevant for teams practicing Scrum or who otherwise want to measure their efforts using the Story Point Scale established above.
    Default Cell - identify the cell to which newly created work cards should be assigned by default.
    Workspace Category - if you have defined categories for your workspaces, this is where you can designate the category to which this workspace should be assigned.
  • Workspace Flow - Workspaces can manage their work either using a continuous flow and iteration-based framework. In this context, iterations are the time boxed cadences in which the workspace will manage and deliver increments of work. Our default setting for stand-alone workspaces is 2 weeks, but you can establish a custom cadence here.    
  • Workspace Teams - This area lets you see which teams are assigned to this workspace (Direct Access), what level of access each team has, and to see other teams that could be added to this workspace (Implied Access). You also can invite new team members to this workspace here.
       
  • Tags & Labels:  Where you can create an initial list of tags for work cards and sub-tasks (enabling more powerful search & filtering functionality). Card labels can also be used to visually distinguish cards on your board (associated colors are displayed at the top of each card and can be used to categorize different card types for reporting purposes).
  • Card Settings:  Customize what fields will be available to your users and displayed on your cards.
  • Board Editor:  The interface through which you can customize your board design. See our related help article for a more detailed explanation.
  • Report Profiles:  This interface is used to create different reporting profiles, and establish how you want certain metrics calculated.
  • Admin Options:  This is where you can delete or archive your workspace, move it to another organization, rebuild reports, and reset key charts.
  • Sharing:  Allows you to share a read-only view of your board with stakeholders who do not have a ScrumDo account (available only to Premium accounts).
  • Extras:  Settings for key integrations and other options.
